Dr. Chi-Hui Cheng is currently an associate professor in Department of Pediatrics, Chang Gung University, Taiwan. She also serves as the visiting staff in Division of Pediatric Nephrology, Department of Pediatrics, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, one of the leading and largest hospitals in Taiwan since 2003. Dr. Cheng received the MD degree from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan in 1998 and PhD degree from Institute of Clinical Medical Sciences at Chang Gung University in 2010. She has received both board of certificates in pediatrics and nephrology. Her major interest is to understand the clinical as well basic medical issues that are related to the treatment modality and pathogeneses in severe pediatric urinary tract infections, including urovirluence factors and the host factors associated various innate immunity pathways. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in the subject of urinary tract infections at various leading Journals in the field of pediatrics. She also published one book chapter. She received recognition as Young Investigator Award from Congress of Asian Society for Pediatric Research, 2012, Best Paper Award from Pediatric Academic Societies/Asian Society for Pediatric Research (PAS/ASPR) 2011, Best Paper Award from Congress of Asian Society for Pediatric Research 2009 and the Nestle Award from Taiwan Pediatric Association in 2005. Since 2013, she has been listed in Who's Who in the World.
