Anna M. Lavezzi, BS, MD graduated in Biological Science and Medicine, University of Milan, Italy. Professor of Pathology, University of Milan. Director of the "Lino Rossi" Research Center for the study and prevention of the unexpected perinatal death and SIDS, University of Milan. Member of the Italian regional network to reduce the risk for unexpected fetal death and SIDS. The research activity (over 300 publications, available at the webpage http://users.unimi.it/centrolinorossi/en/publications.html) has been prevalently addressed to the identification of the main brainstem centers checking the vital functions and on the neuropathology and cardiovascular pathology of the sudden fetal and infant death. Editor-in-chief of the “Open Biomarkers Journal” and of the Research Topic of Frontiers in Neuroscience “New approaches to the pathogenesis of sudden intrauterine unexplained death and SIDS”; member of the Editorial Board of the “Journal of Pediatric Biochemistry”, “International Journal of Neurology Research”, “Neonatal and Pediatric Medicine”, “Research and Reviews: Neuroscience”.
