Dr. Vikram Sharma is a Research fellow in the Systems Biology Centre at Plymouth University. Dr. Sharma manages and runs the proteomics core facility and has extensive experience in developing customized proteomic methodologies for various applications and new model species. Dr. Sharma has previously worked as a research fellow in HEROIC-EU consortium and other projects in The Netherlands and is currently directly involved in EU-FP7 and other UK/EU wide research projects. His research involves discovering the mode of action of Epigenetic inhibitors in various models of cancer. He has co-authored and published various papers in international peer reviewed journals. He is editorial board member in Journal of Natural Science, Biology and Medicine, BEMS reports and reviewer of PLoS One, Proteomics-Clinical Applications and Drug Design Development and Therapy.
