Dr. Peterson received his BS, MS, and DVM from the University of Illinois and residency training in Laboratory Animal Medicine and PhD in Comparative Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. He was on faculty at Johns Hopkins University prior to his current position as Director of Veterinary Sciences at MedImmune/AstraZeneca. Dr. Peterson has over 30 years of experience in biomedical research and animal model development. Currently, he heads an institutional in vivo imaging facility and is active in collaborations to improve the translatability of in vivo models in several different therapeutic areas.
