Dr. Sadiq Umar is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Lillehei Heart Institute, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA. Previously, he was employed as Postdoc Research Associate at Washington State University, Spokane. In Spokane, Dr. Umar’s research focus was on autoimmune and metabolic disease especially rheumatoid arthritis and gout. His duties included designing and execution of experiments and mentoring graduate student and summer fellows.
Dr. Umar completed his Ph.D. in 2012 at Jamia Hamdard, India in Toxicology (Specialized in Rheumatology). He published more than 29 research articles and presented his work in international conferences in Spain, Hungary, Amsterdam and USA. He has more than ten years of research experience in animal model of RA, Inflammation, Autoimmunity and Cardiology; and highly interested in scientific research particularly related to improving the quality of Human life.
