Dr. Nazly Cuevas received her medical degree from El Bosque University in Bogota (Colombia) in 2005. She finished her medical residency in Clinical Pharmacology at Clinico San Carlos Hospital of Madrid (Spain) in 2012. She completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Research (2010), as well as in Pharmaceutical Medicine (2007), both in Spain. In 2008, she joined the doctoral program (PhD) at Complutense University in Madrid, and excepting the dissertation, she has completed the program. She obtained an MSc in Paediatric Medicines Development and Evaluation from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, which was sponsored by the Global Research in Paediatrics (GRiP) in 2016. She has also participated in numerous educational medical-scientific activities, some of which were in association with Harvard University and Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr Cuevas has worked as a physician in both public and private hospitals in Spain and Colombia. In addition, she also has experience as a Medical Advisor/Director in the Pharmaceutical industry and has collaborated on the scientific evaluations of clinical trials submitted to ethics committees and The Regulatory Agency of Medicines in Spain (AEMPS). Currently, she works with a pharmaceutical company (PharmaMar) as one of the responsible clinical research physicians for early stage clinical trials in the development of oncological drugs. In addition, she is a professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the University Ceu San Pablo of Madrid (Spain), a position she has held since 2013.
