Dr. Jesus Seco (PhD) is a senior post-doctoral scientist at Institute for Research in Biomedicine (Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology Program, Spain) and Head of Computational Chemistry at biotech company Iproteos (Spain). He accomplished his Ph.D in Biomedicine from University of Barcelona (Spain), where afterwards moved to Oklahoma University (USA) as postdoctoral scientist. He has been interested in developing novel and out-of-the-box computational tools for rational drug design and implementing new in silico technologies to several drug discovery programs, encompassing cancer, epigenetics and brain-related diseases. He has positively contributed in the discovery of novel therapeutic modulators, with special emphasis in those with high celular and blood-brain barrier permeability. He has published several publications and book chapters in several high index impact journals, as well as presenting his work in both national and international conferences.
