Dr. Erika Cione (PharmD, PhD) is Assistant Professor and CEO of a transcriptomic based accademic company at University of Calabria, Rende (CS) Italy. She accomplished her PharmD and PhD in clinical pathology from the same university. She was Assistant Specialist at Department of Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology UC-Berkeley USA. The main scientific interest of Dr Cione has been on the understanding the role of vitamin A derivatives in patho-physiological in vitro systems, focusing on cancer and insulin secretion, in order knowledge on new target for pharmacological therapy or coadjuvant therapy based on it, her international scientific reputation in the field is recognized by the International Research Platform For Biomedical Science And Drug Discovery Against Intractable Diseases of the Japanese Society of Promotion of Science. Today, she is interested in microRNAs discovery with a translational based approach and tecnically, she is working for improve microRNAs extraction and detection comparing multiple platform machines. She has outstanding records of scientific and academic achievements with beside research funding, numerous publications in high prestigious journals and various presentations in both national and international conference.
