Dr. Sara E. L. Tolouei Menegati (MD), is a pharmacist and a member of the Brazilian Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics and of the Brazilian Society of Medicinal Plants. She is currently a PhD student in pharmacology at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and accomplished her MD in biology from Federal University of Grande Dourados. Has experience in pre-clinical studies of medicinal plants regarding its toxicity, antidepressant, anxiolytic and genotoxic potentials. Currently works with cardiovascular pharmacology in the investigation of reno and cardioprotective potential of native species from the brazilian Cerrado as well as in the evaluation of its toxicological potential.
