Leticia Helena Theodoro has Graduated in Dentistry from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho- (UNESP, 1994), Specialisation in Paediatric Dentistry at Araçatuba Dental School – UNESP (1995), MA in Lasers in Dentistry from the Nuclear and Energetic Research Institute (IPEN), Sao Paulo University – USP (2001), Specialisation (1997) and PhD (2003) in Periodontology from UNESP. She was lecturer and supervisor at the post-graduate programme in Periodontology and Dental Implantology at the Barretos Educational Foundation (FEB) from 2007 to 2012 (MA level). Currently she is a Senior Lecturer in Periodontology at the São Paulo State University (Unesp), School of Dentistry, Araçatuba, member of the post-graduate programme in Periodontology, coordinator of the Group of Research and Study on Laser in Dentistry (GEPLO). She was head of the Department of Surgery and Integrated Clinics at UNESP from 2012 to 2016. She has published several book chapters and articles in academic journals. She currently has a Research Grant from the National Counsel of Technological and Scientific Development, CNPq/Brazil.
She has interest in Periodontology, particularly in topics such as: low-level laser, bio-stimulation, Photodynamic Therapy in periodontal treatment, and high level laser in periodontology.
