Dr. Monica BUTNARIU graduated the Faculty of Chemistry–Biology–Geography of the West University in Timisoara, profile Chemistry (B.Sc. diploma obtained in 1997), then the M.Sc. in Technologies of Non-Pollutant Processes of the Polytechnic University, Timisoara, Industrial Chemistry and Environmental Engineering Faculty (1999), Postgraduate specialization in Environmental Studies, with the specialty "Mitigation of pollution, protection and management of environment" of the University "Transylvania" in Brasov (2011) and Postdoctoral studies of the "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Timisoara (2012). Since 2014, the team coordinator is Full Professor at the Banat's University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine "King Michael I of Romania" from Timisoara. The habilitation diploma was obtained at the University in Cluj Napoca, in 2013. The work experience consists in teaching the chemistry/biochemistry of vegetal systems. She published 57 papers ranked in ISI Thomson Reuters journals, The Hirsch index from Web of Science Core Collection (Clarivate Analytics) is 18, (Results found: 57, Citing Articles:157, Citing Articles without self-citations:135, Average Citations per Item:10.04, h-index:18) and the Hirsch Scopus index is 10.). A number of 4 books and 4 chapters in books were also published (Springer). The team coordinator has 5 patents: Number: RO122893–B; RO122836–B1; RO122834–B1; RO122952– B1; RO125201–A2; and RO125201–B1, from Derwent Innovations Index (Clarivate Analytics). She is member of ten professional organizations, i.e.: Romanian Society of Chemistry, Society Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, International Society of Environmental Bio-indicators, American Nano Society, Biochemical Society of London, International Carotenoid Society, European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, Italo–Latin American Society of Ethnomedicine, American Chemical Society and Council for Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. The team coordinator was invited at trainings and post-academic courses: 2006 National Institute of Research, Centre de Recherche Toulouse, France; 2007 Institute of Coastal Research Centre; Luneburg, Germany; 2007 RECETOX, Brno, Czech Republic; 2008, REP–LECOTOX, Novi Sad, Serbia. She was the director, partner team leader and Co-Principal Investigators project of more than 10 national and international research contracts.
