Dr. Magdalena Gorska-Ponikowska (PhD.) is Research Associate at Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland. She accomplished her Ph.D in Biochemistry from Medical University of Gdansk (Gdansk, Poland). She has received research training from University of Palermo (Palermo, Italy), University of Stuttgart (Stuttgart, Germany), University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada), University of Rzeszow (Rzeszow, Poland). Scientifically, she has been interested in determining the efficiency of anticancer drugs, evaluating their mechanisms of action, and searching for novel chemotherapeutics. Moreover, her research field includes developing novel biomarkers of cancerogenesis and angiogenesis in order to evaluate and monitor the anticancer therapy. She is also specialized in neurotoxic activity of chemotherapetutics, neurodegenerations development and signaling pathways of neurodegenerative diseases. Technically, she has been interested in molecular and cell biology techniques including structural and functional proteomics, biomedicine, molecular enzymology, biotechnology, biophysics and medical chemistry. She has outstanding records of scientific and academic accomplishments with multiple research funding, numerous publications in international journals and various presentations in both national and international conferences.
