Bulent Elbasan, PT, PhD was born in 1976 in Turkey and graduated from Tarsus College High School in 1994. In 1998, he graduated from the School of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Hacettepe University. In 1999 he began his MSc programme in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, the Institute of Health Sciences, Hacettepe University. In 1999, he started to work in Bilge Private Pediatric Rehabilitation Clinic for children with CP and developmental disorders. In 2002, he obtained his MSc degree and joined to the army. In 2003, he began his PhD programme and completed successfully in 2009 with her doctorate dissertation entitled as “The Effects of Developmental Coordiantion Disorder on the Activities of Daily Living in Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders. He has been working in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Health Sciences in Gazi University since February 2011 and he has obtained his associate professor degree in 2014 and associate professor at the same department. Dr. Elbasan currently served as President of the Turkish Physiotherapy Association for 10 years and currently President of the Section on Pediatrics of the Turkish Physiotherapy Association. He is certified in NDT-Bobath from EBTA and IBITA. He is also expertise in the Mulligan Concept and became CMP in 2014. His areas of interest include premature babies, early intervention, children with cerebral palsy and other childhood disabilities and developmental disorders. He has been invited to the WCPT 2015 as a speaker in the field of Pediatrics.
