Research Interest

Dr. Flaisher-Grinberg’s Research interests are include the neuropharmacology of mood and anxiety disorders, the neurobiology of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders (with an emphasis on autism spectrum disorders), and the development of novel animal models for different psychopathological conditions (such as obsessive compulsive disorder and bipolar disorder). Investigation and research are focused on the reciprocal relationship between environmental/behavioral processes and genetic/molecular factors. Methodological approach combines animal behavioral models, pharmacological interventions and molecular procedures, all designated to further our understanding of complex behaviors and mental illness.
