Akos Jerzsele DVM, an Associate Professor at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology (Budapest, Hungary) has a special interest in veterinary pharmacology, particularly antibiotics and antibiotic alternatives. His Ph.D. work was based on PK/PD integration of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid in broiler chickens and turkeys. His current research activities include invention of antibiofilm agents against P. aeruginosa and staphylococci of veterinary origin, antibiotic and antibiotic-antibiofilm agent synergy and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) integration on the field of antibiotics, with a special emphasis on poultry.
