Biography

I was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1975. I graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. I received my PhD in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from Ankara University, Institute of Health Sciences, in 2003. I worked at Ministry of Health of Turkey as a technical officer and Section Chief between 1997 and 2004. Then, I passed to the university and currently I worked as Assoc.Prof. at Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ondokuz Mayis University, Samsun, Turkey. I worked at European Commission Joint Research Centre as a Project/Scientific Officer and Seconded National Expert between 2012 and 2015. In my professional life, I have particularly worked in analysis of xenobiotics, other toxic chemicals and pharmaceuticals in various food, environmental and biological matrixes. In addition, my other research interests are chemical toxicity and risk assessment of chemicals for customers and non-target organisms, pesticide stability, registration requirements of biocidal products, veterinary drug efficiency. I have various international indexed articles, conference papaersa and other publications in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology.


Research Interest

Oguzhan Yavuz Research Interests are Chromatographic tecniques in Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biocidal products, environmental persistent organic pollutants, unintentional chemical residues in foods, food contact materials, alternative methods and chemical risk analysis.
