Biography

Dr. Xudong Huang is an assistant professor of Harvard Medical School (HMS), and the Co-director for Neurochemistry Laboratory at Psychiatry Department of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS). Dr. Huang received his Ph.D. from MIT (Nuclear Science and Engineering). He performed his postdoctoral work at MGH/HMS. His current research thrust is centered upon: (i) CNS drug discovery; (ii) validating potential correlation of environmental stressors such as exposure of metals and metal oxide nanoparticles with neurodegeneration using in vivo molecular imaging modalities; (iii) gene expression clustering and MRI data classification in Alzheimer’s disease using clinical data and machine learning-based methods and big data analytics. Dr. Huang serves on scientific advisory and editorial boards for several research foundations and scientific journals.
