Adriano Mollica PhD, got his master degree in Pharmacy in 2001, a MD in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology in 2008 and PhD in “Pharmaceutical Sciences” at “Sapienza” University of Rome in 2006. In 2004-5 was Visiting Scientist at the University of Arizona, Tucson, in the laboratory of Prof. Victor Hruby. From 2006 to 2008 had a post-doctoral fellow at the University “G. d’ Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara, Italy. In 2008 was appointed Researcher for Medicinal Chemistry at the same University. He is currently Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University “G. d’ Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara, Italy. In 2014 he was Visiting Scientist at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Szeged (Hungary), in 2015 Visiting Scientist at the University BAU in Istanbul (Turkey). He is member of the Board of the PhD course in “Bimolecular and Pharmaceutical Sciences” and Tutor of several PhD students and Post-doctoral fellows. His research interests are focused on bioactive peptides, opioid peptides, treatment of chronic and neuropathic pain, chemotactic peptides, synthesis of building blocks for peptide chemistry. He is co-author of 95 papers published in international journals, one European Patent, one Italian Patent, two books and has several oral and poster communications at national and international meetings (H index = 19; Citations 1040).
Adriano Mollica Research Interests are opioid peptides, cannabinoids, analgesics, neuropeptides.
