She was a research associate at St. John’s University during 2004-2007. She joined as Clinical pharmacokinetic research associate in 2007, further got promoted as Research associate II and modeling and simulations scientist and principal modeling and simulations scientist. Ms. Sunkaraneni has honored awards such as The Spotlight of Excellence and Award of Excellence for her outstanding contributions. She is serving as reviewer of several journals including Journal of clinical pharmacology, clinical pharmacology and drug development, International Archives of Addiction Research and Medicine. She has published more than 10 research papers and 17 conference papers.
Soujanya Sunkaraneni Research Interests are include pediatrics, neuroscience, respiratory, clinical pharmacology , translation medicine and pharmacometrics. Her work is primarily focused on determining safe and tolerable doses, and characterization of ADME properties, bioavailability and bioequivalence of the tested drugs. She has been involved with and led development of novel innovative pharmaco-statistical modeling and simulation approaches to characterize exposure-response relationship for both early and late stage drugs in Sunovion’ s pipeline. She additionally explored effects of intrinsic and extrinsic factors affecting the drug exposures, such as effect of food, drug-drug interaction, age, gender, renal and hepatic impairment.
