Ganime Ayar was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1975. After Fahri Caldag Primary School she completed Secondary at Sokullu Mehmet Pasa, Ankara, Turkey in 1992. She received the M.D. degree from the University of Selcuk, Konya, Turkey in 1998. She gained specialization in Pediatrics at Department of Pediatrics University of Ataturk, Erzurum, Turkey in 2004. She worked at private medical center in Erzurum from 2004 to 2007. She was assigned Ankara Zubeyde Hanım Maternity Education and Research Hospital for Department of Neonatology, in 2007. In 2011, she joined the Department of Pediatric Intensive Care, in Ankara Childrenís Hematology Oncology Education and Research Hospital as a Pediatrician after certification for Pediatric Intensive Care. She is still a Ph.D. student (Social Pediatrics) at Hacettepe University and she continues to work in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Ganime Ayar current research interests include, Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Critical Care, Preventive Medicine, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Social Determinants of Health, Brain Death and Ethics of end of life, Home Health Care Services in Children and Pain in Children. Dr. Ayar is a member of Turkish Society of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Critical Care- Ankara Working Group. She currently resides in Ankara with her husband and their two children.
