Biography

Dr. Swati Gupta is working as Professor at B.S. Anangpuria Institute of Pharmacy, Alampur, Faridabad, India. Dr. Swati Gupta did her post-graduation, M. Pharm (2002) and Ph.D (2009) in Pharmaceutical sciences, with specialization in Pharmaceutics from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, India. She has been awarded with GATE fellowship (2000), Junior Research Fellowship (2004) by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, and Senior Research Fellowship (2006) by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, India. Dr Gupta has nearly Fifteen years of research/teaching experience. She has supervised 15 M.Pharm students and presently supervising 2 Ph.D students. Dr Gupta has over fourty five publications to her credit published in international journals of high scientific impact and has contributed several chapters in many outstanding reference books. She is also the author of 3 books. Dr. Gupta has presented several research papers in international/national conferences and also serves as the reviewer of several international journals like Molecular Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Research, Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy etc. Dr Gupta has been honored for outstanding abstract submission of her research work in Nanotechnology Symposium, USA, 2009. She has also been awarded with best research paper as corresponding author in International Symposium on the Safe Use of Nanomaterials, IITR, Lucknow, India, 01-03 February 2011. She is also the recipient of prestigious young scientist awards, BOYSCAST fellowship of Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi (2010-11) for postdoctoral research in USA and Bio-CARe Women Scientist award with research grant of 22 Lakhs of Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi. Her research interests include drug delivery using nanocarriers, drug targeting, molecular pharmaceutics and nanotoxicity.

Swati Gupta research interests are Development of novel formulations/drug delivery systems,Animal handling for research work,Research work on cell cultures,Application of novel formulations for therapy of deadly diseases,Determination of nano toxicity,Cancer, leishmaniasis, tuberculosis, malaria, diabetes.
